News: Iranian Man Hanged For Espionage
Iranian man has been reported to have been hanged by the Iranian authorities today as he was convicted of spying for the long-standing enemy of Iran Israel. The reports by the news agencies do not reveal any facts around the case as the case have been decided in secrecy since it contained extracts of confidential information. However, many would oppose that decision as this might have been a sign of provocation against Israel and no one has actually seen any evidence or made any try to establish a relationship between the accusation and the actions of the man hanged.
The Islamic law of Iran estopps many people from booking those cheap flights from London to Tehran for a tourist vacation. The strict rules of the Sharia law are believed to be outdated and extremely severe and harsh on the population and the people residing in Iran. According to some sources the political game and the judiciary have already merged which indicates that the courts in the country are prejudiced in applying the law and no sign of reform is about to take place soon.
The convicted man was detained in 2008 and accused in espionage for Israel. According to the prosecution, the man was delivering reports to Israel in the military capabilities of Iran plus providing confidential information of the country. Still it has not been pointed out how exactly the information was obtained and what was the relation of the man with the military services of the state. Under the Islamic law, espionage is punished with death along with many other crimes and ’sins’that would be treated much differently in the modern world in the west. The official reports on the case have not yet been revealed and speculations for biased judges and unjust decision have already emerged.
